A little back story:

Chris & Ashley both grew up in Kansas City, Missouri. Ashley went to Lee's Summit North HS while Chris attended Park Hill HS. They both ended up going to Mizzou for their Engineering degrees; Ashley gaining her BS in Mechanical Engineering and Chris graduating only a year earlier with his MS in Civil Engineering. Both ended up accepting positions with Burns & McDonnell in the Energy Division for their fulltime careers. Neither of them know how many times their paths may have crossed without them knowing any different!

1023 Miles Away:

It wasn't until the Spring of 2014 that Chris and Ashley first met. They were both sent on field assignments to Front Royal, Virginia for the construction of a new power plant. On Ashley's first day at site, Chris was responsible for showing her the ropes and decided the best way to do that was to have her climb the tallest ladder going up about 50-60 ft to a scaffold platform. Needless to say, he didn't take things easy on her. While they worked closely together for several months and could often be found harassing one another, you wouldn't quite label them "friends". Ashley felt sure that Chris was not her biggest fan.

Back in KC:

They stayed in touch and Ashley continued to try and get Chris to admit they were friends. But, it wasn't until Summer of 2016 when Ashley discovered the truth; Chris actually adored her!  As soon as Chris found out that Ashley was newly available, he made it known that he was ready to do whatever it took for them to be together. While they both had some personal struggles, they were always there for each other.

Now:

They live together happily in their personal menagerie. Chris brought his feline Kitty into the family, with Ashley adding her pups Zeus and Ziva. Together they added their second cat Boo Boo in November of 2016, their third dog Zoey in December of 2017, a Beta named Freddy and the newest addition in the form of Bob, a lovable kitten! Ashley hopes to get a bunny come state fair time (and they anticipate naming him Sir Fuggle Hopsalot)! It's needless to say that their house is quite full of fur, love, and plenty of laughter. Luckily enough, they wouldn't have it any other way.
